Design Variations - Electrical :

Screw terminals are standard construction. Leads in armor may be specified in any length, with straight or right angle (RA) strain relief Terminal protection box may be ordered. Following variations are available :
(a) Slot Opening
(b) hole (specify size)

Holes - Slots - Cutouts :

Holes of any size may be located practically anywhere on heater surface. Thermocouple holes are common specification on barrel heaters for plastic processing machinery. Slots or cutouts may be specified to clear obstructions.

How to order Ceramic Insulated Band Heaters

1. Inside diameter of band heater (or the outside diameter of the part around which the heater is to fit).

2. Width (frequently reffered to as "length").

3. Type of line connection (screw terminals, flexible lead, etc).

4. Opening between lock-up flanges ("standard" gap id approx. 10mm); a larger opening might be required if  Temperature control instruments etc, are to be inserted at this point.

5. If any Clearance Holes are required in the body of the heater please indicate size and location, preferably with sketch.
